We have noticed this growing trend of skateboarding amongst the youngsters. We see a bunch of kids in almost every neighborhood who are roaming around on a skateboard. A lot of them use it as a cheap yet cool way of transportation; they go to college or school on their skateboard. Others just use it too look cool and gel into the crowd of cool kids.
In a way this is a healthy trend as it increases the outside activities of the kids and helps them make friends in the neighborhood with similar interests. At the same time they are using their skateboards to go to school which is a completely pollution free way of transportation.
It has also given a rise to a new genre of sports where guys perform tricks on their skateboards and get point for that. And this type of sports is gaining popularity with time. But they should try not to try dangerous tricks which are performed during extreme sports events. Those people performing the tricks are trained professionals and they do it under a controlled environment. Other than that it is a perfect ride for anyone between the age of 10 and 25 years.
If you are a parent and you if your kid is wasting too much time with the video games and needs to go outside and play, you should get them a skateboard and it will help them revive their lost social life.
